This is my first purchase of a KastKing rod and reel combo. Up until now, I have been a die-hard Penn user. I chose the Spartacus II combo based on a friends recommendation.

The performance of this set is absolutely outstanding. The reel complements the rod perfectly. Its smooth drag system allows for seamless line management, and the gear ratio ensures quick retrieval without sacrificing power. I loaded it with over 200 yards 20 lb braided line. The reel’s construction is top-notch, suggesting it will withstand the wear and tear of frequent use.

Great Reel, love it! Only “Problem” is that I ordered a Spinning Rod, but they gave me a bait caster instead. No complaints either way. Works great, sounds great, looks great.

Extremely reliable combo that is perfect for all levels of angler. I have been fishing this combo hard (at least twice a week, multiple hours each time) for about 6 months and it has held up through rain, snow, ice and everything in between. It casts very reliably and is very light compared to similar reels. The drag could be a bit higher but I was able to reel in a 26+ pound aggressive carp with it and it performed flawlessly.
Pick up this combo and you won’t regret it. Excellent value for the money.

Super happy with this combo. The reel is smooth and just how I like it. The only thing I would've done differently is go with the short version. The 7'+ one is a little longer then I would like for smaller spots, but that is my fault. I am catching a lot of fish and the pole is holding up well to the abuse. Great job KastKing
