Huge Improvement in My Home WiFi – Totally Worth It!
I was a bit skeptical when ordering the 408 WiFi Extender Signal Booster, but after a few weeks of use, I can confidently say this little device has made a big difference in my home’s internet coverage. We live in a two-story house with several dead zones, especially in the upstairs bedrooms and basement. Setting up this extender was surprisingly simple — the instructions were clear, and I had it up and running in under 10 minutes.The signal range has improved dramatically. I used to have only one bar of WiFi in certain rooms; now I consistently get three or four. Streaming Netflix or Zoom calls that used to buffer constantly now work flawlessly. One of my favorite features is the Ethernet port — I connected it to my work laptop for a more stable connection, and it’s been perfect for video conferencing and uploads.Speed-wise, I didn’t expect miracles, but the performance is better than expected. It won’t give you gigabit speeds, but it absolutely boosts what your router delivers to hard-to-reach areas. For casual use like streaming, gaming, or browsing, it’s excellent.The device is compact and plugs directly into the wall, so there’s no mess of wires. It blends in well and doesn’t take up space. I also appreciate that it has dual-band support and a decent user interface for managing settings.Overall, if you’re struggling with weak WiFi in parts of your home, this extender is a budget-friendly, effective solution. It’s helped reduce frustration in our household, and everyone is happier with the more consistent connection. Highly recommend!

MODEL RPT-007-1; WIFI RANGE EXTENDER (2.4 G)-January 21, 2025-Works Very Well & Easy To Install
The packaging for the WiFi Range Extender was put together very well and easy to open and separate the contents. I have tested out a few different types of WiFi Extenders over the past year or so and this one turned out to be the easiest to connect, by far. The Quick Guide gave me a QR Code that put me on the correct page to be able to connect and after going through the steps, my phone confirmed that I was connected to my primary WiFi, as extended by this device. I then placed it in 3 different rooms on my home (our walls are made of concrete so moving this device around in this type of house is helpful) and connected up my various Chromecast devices to the new extended WiFi and it immediately showed me that the signal was “Excellent.” I then opened up a few streaming apps to confirm and they all opened rather quickly. As we have to deal with concrete walls (which probably most Buyers of this device will not need to address), this type of device is very helpful because it is easy to just unplug, move to another room, plug back in, and get an Excellent signal (and if we don’t want to move it around, the signal still sufficiently reaches the other Chromecast devices to still use the streaming apps, although not perfectly). I am very happy with this device, I highly recommend it, and have already started using it. My only suggestions are that, although the Quick Guide is much easier to work with than were prior versions, as some of us are not very “tech savvy” or “tech comfortable,” when you first start the process to connect, it tells you to disconnect the Cellular/Mobile Data on your phone and some phones will then give a warning that your device is not safe…a comment in the Quick Guide that this is “normal” and will “go away” once you have finished the process would be helpful; similarly, after disconnecting the Cellular/Mobile Data, my phone then gave me a new “notification” that I was about to connect up a WiFi “without an internet connection.” Again, it would be helpful if the Quick Guide indicated that when this happens that you should just “ignore it” as the completion of the installation should result in the internet connection being restored (as it was). As in my review of some prior similar devices, in reviewing this WiFi Range Extender I am mentioning a few difficulties related more to my own lack of being “tech savvy,” but having used these types of devices in the past I fully expect the many hours of easy use in the future to make any slight difficulties related to the process of the installation to be of minimal impact on my enjoyment of this device.

Works Great!
I was in need of a new wifi extender as my old one was starting to give me random outages for my backyard dimmable lights on my fence, which is behind my garage and about 75 feet away. I had tried numerous things to get the old extender to work as it did when it was new, but nothing helped. I saw this wifi extender and decided to give it a try, and the price was right. It arrived in good time and setting it up with my router was an easy and simple task. Setting it up with my backyard wifi receiver was also easy and went very smoothly. It has been running now for two (2) days and has not dropped the signal to the lights at all. So far I am extremely happy with this extender and would tell anyone looking for a good/decent wifi extender to go ahead and purchase one, you will not be sorry. Be advised it is only for 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.
